Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration of powertrain, chassis, infotainment and ADAS across vehicle platforms. This hybrid role balances on-site collaboration with remote work flexibility in the Vereeniging area.

You will define system architectures, manage ECU interfaces, plan system-level testing in simulation and on vehicles, troubleshoot integration issues, and maintain comprehensive design and test

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automotive system engineering/integration.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical architectures and vehicle communications (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience with DOORS/JAMA and model-based design tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and system testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage integration requirements for complex automotive systems.
• Develop system architectures and interface specifications for new platforms.
• Oversee integration between ECUs, sensors, actuators and software modules.
• Plan system-level testing in simulation and on vehicles.
• Troubleshoot integration issues with hardware and software teams.
• Maintain system documentation including requirements and test plans.
• Analyze results to identify improvements and optimizations.
• Stay updated on AUTOSAR, Automotive Ethernet and related standards.
