Job summary

Old School Ties in Cape Town is looking for a Drama/Performing Arts Teacher to educate learners in grades 4–7. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons that cultivate creativity and confidence.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant Intermediate/Intersen Phase qualification, SACE registration, and is fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans, with strong classroom management and teamwork abilities. Excel literacy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Relevant Intermediate and/or Intersen Phase qualification.
• SACE-registration.
• Ability to teach Drama/Performing Arts to learners in Grades 4–7.
• Passion for performing arts and for promoting creativity, confidence and participation among learners.
• Planning and presenting engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to contribute positively to the broader school environment.
• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• The ability to teach additional subjects would be advantageous.
• Computer literacy: proficiency in Excel.
