Job summary

BETSoftware in South Africa is seeking a Software Tester to strengthen our QA team. You will analyze requirements, design test cases and execute manual tests to ensure coverage and quality.

You will log defects, retest them after fixes, perform regression testing, and contribute to test plans and documentation.

ISTQB may be advantageous and a relevant degree is required; you will collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of software testing experience.
• ISTQB certifications are advantageous.
• Relevant degree: BSc, BCom or Ndip.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design tests from requirements and specs to ensure coverage.
• Develop manual functional test cases following internal standards.
• Execute tests using appropriate tools and document results.
• Log defects and track progress, retest after fixes.
• Conduct retesting and regression testing; maintain regression packs.
• Create test progress and completion reports using automation where possible.
• Document knowledge to share with the team.
