Job summary

Sandvik Mining is a global leading supplier in equipment and tools, parts, service and technical solutions for the mining and infrastructure industries. This role provides technical support in mechanical maintenance to increase reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance.

Key responsibilities include mechanical maintenance operations, preventive and corrective actions, SOP adherence, maintenance target achievement, safety, and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Must hold Grade 12 or N3 technical qualification.
• Section 26D Trade Certificate with apprenticeship proof.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• English proficiency required.
• Relevant mining experience (5 years) and mechanized mining experience.
• Experience in underground mining environments.
• Maintenance of earthmoving equipment in mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical maintenance operations.
• Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, supports planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
• Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Achievement of maintenance targets.
• Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
• Communication of operational status and any deviations.
• Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
• Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.
