Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Technical N2 trade certificate for fitter roles.
• Fitter trade certificate or demonstrated competency as a fitter.
• Underground experience of 2–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Attend and conduct Safety meetings.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Allocate tasks to subordinates.
• Attend to breakdowns and emergencies.
• Ensure material, spares and equipment are available.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to subordinates.
• Comply with environmental requirements.
• Recommend component replacements as needed.
• Maintain high quality of work and complete PM job cards.
• Provide on-site induction and training for apprentices.
