Job summary

SciTech Placements client in Botswana seeks two Maintenance Superintendents for oversight of underground mining equipment maintenance, focusing on LHD, drilling, and haulage systems. The role requires strong leadership and proven experience in lifecycle asset management at a mine site.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance teams, implementing preventive programs, optimizing asset performance, and ensuring safety and cost controls at the Botswana site.

Qualifications

• College diploma in electromechanical engineering or mining machinery required.
• Minimum of 8 years' underground mine equipment maintenance management experience.
• Strong knowledge of LHD, drilling, and haulage equipment maintenance.
• Experience in full lifecycle equipment management including planning, maintenance, repair and asset optimization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and reliability of underground mining equipment to maximize availability.
• Manage maintenance teams and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Optimize asset performance and control maintenance costs.
• Ensure safety and operational standards compliance at the Botswana mine site.
