Job summary

KingsleyIrons Recruitment Services CC is seeking a Senior Treasury Manager to oversee FX exposure, liquidity planning and funding structures across South Africa and selected African territories.

You will lead treasury governance, hedge accounting and technical accounting frameworks, delivering disciplined risk management and high‑quality reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ treasury experience including FX, liquidity and funding structures.
• Strong IFRS knowledge (IFRS 9, IFRS 16).
• Experience across African markets.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreign currency exposure across SA and African territories.
• Monitor currency trends and prepare monthly FX insights for senior leadership.
• Oversee liquidity planning, trade finance and short-term funding facilities.
• Manage relationships with banking institutions to support FX, liquidity and funding activities.
• Maintain treasury governance, controls and compliance frameworks.
• Manage hedge accounting models and prepare technical reports.
• Provide IFRS guidance on specialised accounting matters.
• Maintain and refine Expected Credit Loss models.
• Oversee lease accounting processes for property and fleet portfolios.
• Prepare treasury and technical accounting reports for executive committees.
• Support internal and external audits with high-quality submissions.

Description / Synopsis

A senior treasury role responsible for managing foreign currency exposure, liquidity planning, funding structures and specialised IFRS processes across South Africa and African territories. The Treasury Manager will oversee treasury governance, hedge accounting, working capital facilities and technical accounting frameworks, ensuring disciplined financial risk management and high-quality reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in treasury, FX , liquidity and funding structures
• Strong IFRS knowledge (including IFRS 9, IFRS 16 and related standards)
• Experience working across African markets
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
