Placements24 is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to join our hybrid team in Klerksdorp. You will plan, design, and analyze transportation systems, including roads, highways, and traffic management solutions, to improve mobility and safety in the region.

You will conduct traffic studies, prepare reports and construction drawings, and coordinate with clients and government agencies to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in transportation engineering with focus on traffic and road design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and traffic analysis software (Vissim, Synchro).
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, geometric design standards, and MUTCD.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for road alignments, intersections, and highway infrastructure, considering traffic flow and safety.
• Conduct traffic studies, analyses, and modeling to support design decisions and identify improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and other consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee construction supervision and provide technical support for transportation infrastructure projects.
