Placements24 seeks a meticulous Transmission Line Engineer to join their Kimberley team. You will design high‑voltage transmission lines, perform route selection, tower design, and conductor sizing, and oversee construction and commissioning of new lines.

You will apply electrical and structural analysis, ensure safety and compliance with South African regulations, and lead maintenance programs while collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in HV transmission line design.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and L-Tower.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer new transmission lines, including route selection, tower design, and conductor sizing.
• Conduct electrical and structural analysis for transmission line projects.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of new transmission lines, ensuring quality and adherence to design.
• Manage maintenance programs and troubleshooting for existing transmission infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer new transmission lines , including route selection, tower design, and conductor sizing.
