Requirements

• FGASA Field Guide Level 2
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Trails Guide / Senior Field Guide at a Big 5 reserve
• Full Trails Guide
• Other guide related qualifications
• Firearm competency
• ARH
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Valid Drivers License
• Work Experience
• Four years’ experience in a similar big 5 role
• Competent in operation of different types of transport vehicles, electronic/digital communication systems and equipment
• Competent in operation of rifle equipment
• Ability to follow set standards of performance as expected by the organisation and the local legislation
• Able to use Microsoft Office applications at a basic level
• Ability to accurately read a map, follow directions, or programme and follow directions from a GPS system
• Conversant with specialist terminology including, Wildlife, Security and Conservation
• Works to create a work environment that encourages high levels of engagement with the company
• Effective in creating and fostering an environment of collaboration and commitment
• Ability to establish strong relationships with people from different backgrounds
