Job summary

Reinhardt Transport Group seeks a Trailer Technician with welding expertise to support after-hours operations in Steelpoort. You will service trailers daily, attend to breakdowns, and perform safety checks in line with OEM specs and ISO standards.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, welding capability, and a valid driver's license. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required, and a personal vehicle is preferred for commuting within the Steelpoort area.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience in this field.
Trade certificate in related fields beneficial.
Must have welding experience.
Valid driver’s license (applicants without a driver’s license will not be considered).
Own vehicle required to travel from home to work.
Must reside in the STEELPOORT area.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

Carry out services to trailers daily, as per the OEM specifications.
Attend to breakdowns on the trailers in depot, on the road, normal and after hours when required.
Inspection of trailers before/after work is performed, also carry out quality checks daily (known as 15-minute checks).
Accurate completion of job cards and workshop applications.
Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard.
Responsible for timely prioritization of all operational requests, recognizing technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the Workshop Manager.
