Job summary

RTG TECHNICAL SERVICES in Steelpoort is seeking a Trailer Technician to service trailers to OEM specs, attend to breakdowns, and perform daily inspections and quality checks. The role requires welding experience, a valid driver's license, and residence in the Steelpoort area.

Expect a busy workshop environment with ISO-aligned maintenance, timely prioritization of requests, and accurate job-card completion. Own transport is required to travel from home to work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in trailer maintenance/repair.
• Trade certificate in related fields preferred.
• Must have welding experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Own vehicle to travel from home to work.
• Must reside in the Steelpoort area.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

• Carry out services to trailers daily, as per the OEM specifications.
• Attend to breakdowns on the trailers in depot, on the road, normal and after hours when required.
• Inspection of trailers before/after work is performed, also carry out quality checks daily (known as 15-minute checks).
• Accurate completion of job cards and workshop applications.
• Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard.
• Responsible for timely prioritization of all operational requests, recognizing technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the Workshop Manager.

TRAILER TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

Remuneration:

Competitive salary - Minimum R21 500.00 CTC per month to be discussed in the interview
