Job summary

Reinhardt Transport Group in Komatipoort seeks an experienced trailer technician to service trailers daily according to OEM specs and to attend to breakdowns as required. The role includes performing 15-minute checks and daily quality inspections, and maintaining serviceability through preventative maintenance in line with ISO standards.

Applicants must have a Matric, 3+ years in the field, welding experience, a valid driver's license, and reside in the Komatipoort area.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in this field.
• Trace certificate in related fields is beneficial.
• Valid drivers’ license required; own vehicle may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out services to trailers daily per OEM specifications.
• Attend to breakdowns on trailers in depot or on the road, including after hours.
• Perform 15-minute checks and daily quality inspections.
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop applications.
• Maintain high technical serviceability through preventative maintenance and ISO standards.
• Prioritize operational requests and collaborate with the Workshop Manager to implement solutions.

Job Summary

• Carry out services to trailers daily, as per the OEM specifications.
• Attend to breakdowns on the trailers in depot, on the road, normal and after hours when required.
• Inspection of trailers before/after work is performed, also carry out quality checks daily (known as 15-minute checks).
• Accurate completion of job cars and workshop applications.
• Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard.
• Responsible for timely prioritization of all operational requests, recognising technical deficiencies and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the Workshop Manager.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this specific field.
• Trace certificate in related fields will be beneficial.
• Must have welding experience.
• Valid drivers’ license (applicants without a drivers’ license will not be considered)
• Own vehicle required to travel from home to work.
• Must reside in the KOMATIPOORT area
