Job summary

On Line Personnel is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician in Gqeberha to service, inspect and repair trailers, ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and maintain thorough service records while supporting breakdowns on the road.

The ideal candidate has proven trailer technician experience, exposure to fuel industry trailers, and a valid Code 8 license (Code 14 advantageous).

Qualifications

• Experience in trucks/trailers in the fuel industry, Semi/Drawbar trailers.
• Proven experience as a Trailer Technician.
• Valid Code 8 license (Code 14 advantageous).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of minimizing downtime and cost-effective repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers for safety, wear and compliance.
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and replace brakes, axles, bearings suspension systems and couplings.
• Diagnose and repair faults i.e. trailer lights, wiring and brake system.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and legal requirements.
• Attend to breakdowns on the road and follow up on repairs.

We are seeking the services of skilled and reliable Trailer Technician to carry out servicing, preventative maintenance, inspection and repair of trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all systems and faults are identified and rectified efficiently in accordance work company, legal and compliance requirements
