Placements24 is seeking a nurturing and reliable Toddler Caregiver to provide exceptional care and early learning experiences for young children at their facility in George.

You will create a secure, stimulating environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace, collaborating with a team dedicated to high-quality childcare in the Western Cape region. The role emphasizes safety, development support, and engaging activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare or as a toddler caregiver is essential.
• A caring, patient, and responsible attitude towards children.
• Understanding of toddler development stages and safety needs.
• Ability to follow instructions and centre policies regarding child care.
• Good communication skills for interacting with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Engage toddlers in age-appropriate play, songs, and learning activities designed to stimulate their curiosity and development.
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, napping, and diapering/toileting, maintaining hygiene standards.
• Monitor developmental progress and communicate observations to parents and the centre director.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly learning space.
