Job summary

Africa Global Logistics in South Africa seeks a Solutions Expert within the MIS JACC Department to support and configure production software, resolve escalated queries, and ensure top-tier service levels. You will identify system changes, upgrade applications, and contribute to documentation while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Information Systems or similar is advantageous.
• Extensive experience with the Transport Management System CarLo is required.
• Strong understanding of business processes and translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Freight Forwarding Business Applications, SQL Report Writing and MS Power BI experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel).
• Experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Transport Management is favourable.

Mission Description

Job Purpose: The Solutions Expert within the MIS JACC Department plays a crucial role in supporting new and existing software within the production environment. The Solutions Expert provides application configuration and maintenance, assists with problem management, identifies, and proposes application system changes, and ensures the highest level of customer service and adherence to agreed service levels. This position is also responsible for resolving escalated user queries at an application level through investigation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting application errors.

Job Function

• Be a Subject Matter Expert within the dedicated solution area.
• Support the Solution Leader in understanding business needs, develop and propose customized solutions that leverage products or services to meet business requirements effectively.
• Stay updated with industry trends and product knowledge to provide expert guidance and advice to clients on the most suitable solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and implementation.
• Analyse complex client challenges and design creative, effective solutions that align with business goals.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by providing exceptional service, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis for escalated queries.
• Liaise with Vendors and/or Central Support to investigate and resolve issues.
• Adopt a proactive and methodical approach.
• Perform application upgrades and preventative maintenance.

Profile

Requirements:
