Job summary

Assign Services (Pty) Ltd in Kempton Park seeks a Shift Supervisor for tissue machine operations. This role oversees the tissue machine from chest to reel, including broke, hood, vacuum and approach flow systems.

You will lead operators, ensure material availability, manage safety, and compile shift performance reports for the team leader. Strong leadership, attention to safety, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the tissue machine and auxiliary operations on shift
• Lead and guide the Stock prep Operator, Machine Attendant and Assistants
• Manage safety, health, and environment on shift
• Shut management on the line
• Analyse paper samples
• Guide machine assistants on the machine
• Ensure availability of raw materials on the machine floor
• Inform team leader of any technical issues on the machine floor
• Ensure short interval controls are performed on shift
• Compile shift performance report for team leader
• Ensure housekeeping and safety adherence on shifts

Job description

• Ensure good housekeeping and safety adherence on shifts

This position is responsible and accountable for the efficient operations of the tissue machine from the machine chest to paper on the reel including the auxiliary systems such as broke system, hood system, vacuum system, and approach flow system
