Job description

Responsibilities

• prepare / cut required shapes and weld according to structure plans
• carry out skilled TIG and ARC welding work
• inspection, diagnosing problems and carry out appropriate checking / testing
• effectively operate welding units and equipment to fabricate, repair, maintain and install metal items equipment
• inspect work and fill / repair as necessary
• identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with appropriate codes, law, working practices and health and safety
• clean and maintain all equipment and tools and maintain a clean working area
• organize all supplies (materials, tools and equipment's) required, liaising with appropriate parties
• carry out tasks to meet applicable safety standards, targets, criteria and deadlines and to maximize productivity and profitability
• carry out tasks within prescribed time limits
• help minimize downtime and wastage
• assist team members on projects to ensure efficient operations and to ensure targets are met

Qualifications

• 3 years and up experience welding
