Mimecast South Africa's Threat Response Analyst Graduate role sits within the Messaging Security team, supporting on-demand threat resolution for customers. You'll help reduce dwell time by remediating threats in email environments and improving detections.

The position may require afternoon/evening shifts and rotation for holiday support, with collaboration across research, development and support to keep Mimecast’s detection layers up to date.

Qualifications

• IT degree or Diploma is essential.
• Basic knowledge of messaging and routing is expected.
• Familiarity with security software such as anti-spam/anti-virus is beneficial.
• Strong DNS understanding and ability to translate technical concepts.

Responsabilités

• Analyzing phishing/malicious email campaigns to identify indicators
• 1Categorizing email threats and updating detection
• Providing email security advice and remediation to customers
• Understanding Mimecast Console policies and suggesting configurations
• Researching latest threats and impact to Mimecast customers
• Collaborating with security vendors on threat detection and remediation
• Identifying opportunities for improved processes and systems
