Global Managed Services Engineer — Security & Email SaaS

Job summary

Mimecast South Africa seeks a Managed Services Engineer to deliver high-quality post-sales managed services to customers worldwide. You will work from our Cape Town office, supporting global clients and collaborating with internal teams to resolve technical challenges quickly.

The role requires strong experience with email platforms, SaaS implementations, and security-minded support. A hybrid work model and flexible shifts are available to align with global customers.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-facing implementations of 3rd party SaaS and IT services.
• Experience with Microsoft, Google Apps or other email platforms.
• Strong understanding of internet fundamentals, DNS, networks, firewalls and email delivery.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously analyse events and identify security threats and scams using Mimecast tools.
• Maintain and present regularly scheduled customer reports.
• Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships.
• Handle cases and calls as appropriate.
• Act as primary contact for customer questions on Mimecast managed services.
• Monitor features and report back to customers.
• Escalate and track issues and feature requests with Product Development.
• Engage cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.
• Assist customers with successful implementation and adoption of Mimecast products including BEP and DMARC Analyser.
• Provide exceptional support to customers, partners, resellers, and internal staff.
• Cover global customers between 6am–10pm in a regular shift pattern.
