Job summary

PPS Recruitment is seeking a Membership Consultant to assess and improve membership processes, systems, and engagement strategies for clients. You will analyze current membership operations, identify areas for improvement, and help implement solutions that boost retention, satisfaction, and growth.

The role requires the ability to work under pressure, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, project management, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities with project management experience.
• Effective business communication and writing skills are essential.
• Bilingual (written and spoken) abilities preferred.
• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting is required; finance-related qualification is advantageous.
• 2–3 years' experience in a reconciliation environment.
• Sound knowledge of the medical aid industry, scheme rules and related legislation.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Investigate Employer Group and/or Member's monthly payments and ensure correct allocation thereof.
• Facilitate and conclude monthly payment arrangements with Members and ensure adherence thereof.
• Ensure Service Level Agreement and/or Scheme requirements are complied with.
• Effective and timely resolution of members enquiries regarding contributions and membership.
• Monthly follow up on discrepancies regarding contributions.
• Process savings payouts and savings debtors according to Scheme rules.
• Update and maintain member profiles on the administration system.
• Generate monthly System-based reports on contributions and report on default payments.
• Build and maintain sound relationships with all stakeholders.

Job description

This role involves assessing and improving membership processes, systems, and engagement strategies. The consultant works closely with clients to analyze their current membership operations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions that boost member retention, satisfaction, and growth. The consultant may also assist with the implementation of new membership management software, streamline communication channels, and develop data-driven strategies to optimize membership experiences. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills are essential in this position, along with an in-depth understanding of membership-driven organizations.

• A minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting


• Tertiary Qualification in a finance related field will be an added advantage.


• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a reconciliation environment.


• Sound knowledge of the Medical Aid Industry, Scheme Rules & Regulations, ISO and other related legislation.


• Sound knowledge of medical savings accounts.


• Effective business Communication & Writing Skills


• Bilingual both written and verbally


• The ability to work under pressure and be a strong team player.
