Job summary

Discovery Limited’s Connect division seeks a Team Leader to guide a telesales team toward hitting targets while mentoring staff and ensuring quality calls. The role involves performance management, coaching, and shaping a high-performance culture within a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for developing staff through coaching, interviews, and role-plays, while upholding company policies and delivering strong customer engagements. This position is based in Sandton, South Africa.

Qualifications

• 4 years outbound/inbound experience – essential.
• 3 years Team Leader/leadership experience.
• Regulatory Exam and FAIS credits.
• BCOMM or related degree is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 11–13 telesales agents.
• Performance management, coaching and development of the team.
• Drive staff to achieve required targets and accountability for team sales.
• Assess consultants' calls – QA.
• Assist with interviews and role plays.
• Handle escalated queries.
• Ensure open communication and engagement with all staff.
• Adhere to internal policies.
• Inspire, motivate and support the team.
