Placements24 seeks a Telecoms Network Performance Analyst to monitor and optimize the performance of a telecommunications network in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will analyze KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and work with engineers to implement improvements to ensure service quality.

With a 4+ year background in telecom network performance, you will develop dashboards, report findings to management, and contribute to capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network performance analysis or a similar role within the telecommunications sector.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and telecommunications technologies.
• Proficiency with network performance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG).
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for data analysis is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance indicators (KPIs) and system health across the telecommunications network.
• Analyze network traffic, utilization, latency, and throughput data.
• Identify performance degradation, bottlenecks, and potential failure points.
• Generate regular performance reports and dashboards for management and operational teams.
• Conduct root cause analysis for network performance issues.
• Recommend and assist in the implementation of network optimization strategies.
