Placements24 is seeking a skilled Telecoms Installation Engineer to join the Welkom-based technical team. You will install and commission base stations, antennas, and related infrastructure, while conducting site surveys and configuring devices per project specs.

You will ensure quality through rigorous testing and documentation, contributing to the growth of the telecoms footprint in the Free State.

Qualifications

• Requires a National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on installation and commissioning experience in telecoms.
• Experience with RF systems, fiber optics, and installation tools/techniques.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with telecoms safety standards and site installation practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled and proactive Telecoms Installation Engineer to join their technical team in Welkom. You will be responsible for the physical setup and configuration of network equipment, playing a vital part in expanding our client's service footprint across the Free State. Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission a range of telecommunications equipment, including base stations, antennas, and associated infrastructure.
