Placements24 is seeking a Telecommunications Systems Architect in Durban to define and guide the technical direction of the telecom network. The role focuses on scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient solutions with cloud-native architectures and security in mind.

You will lead architectural initiatives, create roadmaps, and mentor engineers, while collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver cutting-edge telecom platforms in a hybrid on-site/remote model in Durban.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in telecommunications with at least 5 years in systems architecture.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, 4G/5G, VoIP, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed telecom systems.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
