About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the telecoms industry, is seeking an accomplished Telecommunications Project Manager to lead significant projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is instrumental in overseeing the successful delivery of complex telecommunications infrastructure projects from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical understanding, project management expertise, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for managing project scope, budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring alignment with our client's strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Manage project execution, monitoring progress, and identifying/mitigating risks and issues. Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets. Coordinate and manage project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors. Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle. Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee project deliverables meet high standards. Conduct project post-mortems and identify lessons learned for future projects. Report project status to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the telecommunications sector. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex telecom infrastructure projects. In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Strong understanding of telecom technologies and network infrastructure. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Experience working in the KwaZulu-Natal region is advantageous.
