Technology Development Lead

We are searching for an experienced Technology Development Lead at our Grayston Drive Sandton facility.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the programming and development ofBlu Label Groups applications and supporting software. Provides advisorysupport through refining designs, practices, tools and processes to ensurethe delivery of quality products to internal and external customers. Fully accountable for software quality andtechnical excellence. Coaching and mentoring developers, and fullyaccountable for defining and driving maturity of practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Development Lifecycle

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, event-driven transaction processing applications and database solutions.
• Provide effort estimates for projects, sprints, and development activities.
• Develop high-quality software in line with company standards, including testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, enhance products, and implement improvements.
• Resolve complex technical challenges, reduce technical debt, and ensure software security, compliance, and reliability.
• Lead technical design, architecture, coding standards, and software release processes.
• Drive automation, development efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and constructive feedback to development teams.
