Job summary

A leading recruitment platform is looking for an Electronic Technician to perform assembly, refurbishment, and testing of advanced electro-mechanical biological test systems. Candidates should have an A.A.S. in Electronics or relevant experience, and must be able to work in a regulated environment. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to assist in training other technicians.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as an Electronic Technician or Instrument Manufacturing Technician.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical functions.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Perform evaluation, refurbishment, assembly, alignment and acceptance testing of automated electro-mechanical biological test systems on an advanced level while maintaining stock levels. Perform production functions safely within regulated environment.

Primary Duties
  1. Perform sub-assembly and final assembly acceptance test operations accurately and timely.
  2. Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations of a complicated nature.
  3. Ensures proper completion of supporting documentation, following GDP guidelines.
  4. Assist in training of Senior Assembler and other Technicians.
  5. Perform any other job-related task as assigned by management procedures.
  6. Ability to conduct advanced test procedures.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. A.A.S. in Electronics discipline plus two (2) years progressively responsible experience as an Electronic Technician or Instrument Manufacturing Technician. High School Diploma/GED with 3 years experience as an Electronic Technician or Instrument Manufacturing Technician. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly procedures, and perform advanced math as required.
  2. Must possess knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical functions, advanced laws of electricity, microprocessor and analog systems.
  3. Requires proficiency in the use of personal computers, excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical skills.
  4. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and possess strong verbal and written skills.
  5. Knowledge and ability to conduct advanced test procedures.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods
  2. Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day
  3. Repetitive hand and arm motions.
  4. Ability to climb steps.
  5. Lifting (up to 50Lbs) and moving containers of parts and various materials.
  6. Must be able to push a wheeled cart that can weigh up to 400 lbs fully loaded.
  7. Excellent personal hygiene required.
  8. Appropriate gowning requirements necessary for the production areas.
  9. Lab coats are required.
  10. Occasional environmental odors may be prevalent
