Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our security technology portfolio in KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on coordinating resources, managing timelines and budgets, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has PSIRA registration, a background in engineering or related field, and proven experience in CCTV and access control systems. A valid driver’s license and a clean record are required.

Qualifications

• PSIRA registration is required.
• Grade 12 or equivalent education is mandatory.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering is advantageous.
• Proven project management experience in technology and electronic security is essential.
• Solid knowledge of CCTV, Cathexis, Avigilon systems, automation and access control.
• Solid knowledge of intruder detection systems (Paradox, Ajax).
• Strong MS Office skills; excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Driver's license and own vehicle; clean disciplinary, criminal and credit records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to the client-company agreement.

Job description

• Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and budget;
• Ensure resource availability and allocation;
• Develop a detailed project plant to track progress;
• Report and escape to management as needed;
• Regular feedback to the operations and/or branch manager;
• Manage the relationship with client and all stakeholders involved;
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks;
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors;
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
• Ensure adherence to the agreement between the client and the company;

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• PSIRA registered;
• Tertiary qualification or diploma in the field of engineering for technical project managers would be
• advantageous;
• Proven work experience as a project manager in the technology and electronic security sector is
• essential;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of CCTV, Cathexis, Avigilon systems, automation and access control;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Intruder detection systems, Paradox, Ajax;
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Proven track record in the electronic security industry;
• Driver's license and own vehicle;
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
