Job summary

Jobtailor in Sandton, Gauteng seeks a senior leader to drive technology operations transformation for the CIO: Digital & AI. You will establish the target operating model, roadmap, governance and metrics to deliver measurable improvements across internal technology operations.

You will lead end-to-end transformation, improve cycle times and throughput, and reduce ageing and friction. The role requires Lean/Six Sigma exposure, a IT degree and a Power BI certification, with strong leadership

Qualifications

Senior experience in operations, process transformation or intelligent automation.
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, process mining, workflow or RPA.
Relevant degree required.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
Mandatory Power BI certification.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across operational excellence, process analysis, automation delivery and performance insight.
Ability to own portfolios, finances, suppliers and talent.
Ability to partner with Risk, Compliance, Cyber Security, Architecture and Finance.

Responsibilities

Drive technology operations transformation for CIO: Digital & AI.
Establish target operating model, improvement roadmap, governance, and metrics.
Lead end-to-end transformation of internal technology operations with visibility and measurable improvement.
Improve cycle time, throughput and ageing while reducing failure demand and friction.
Automate repeatable work using RPA, workflow and task-automation technologies.
Define internal operations strategy and operating model for process management and intelligent automation.
Prioritise processes constraining delivery throughput and quality.
Create sequenced roadmaps, investment cases and quarterly outcomes.
Establish definitions and instrumentation for lead time, cycle time, throughput, WIP, queue time, ageing and rework.
Create executive views exposing bottlenecks, trends, risks and opportunities.
Lead value-stream and process diagnostics to remove delays and hand-offs.
Turn insights into corrective actions and measurable benefits through governance.
Build and govern an automation opportunity funnel based on value and feasibility.
Oversee automation adoption, controls, monitoring and support.
Track benefits and retire underperforming automations.
Own portfolio, finances, suppliers and talent with Risk, Compliance, Cyber Security, Architecture and Finance.
Measure success by cycle-time reduction, throughput, reduced manual touchpoints and adoption.
Report to CIO: Digital & AI.

Establish the target operating model, improvement roadmap, governance routines and operational metrics
Lead transformation of internal technology operations through end-to-end flow visibility and measurable improvement
Improve cycle time, throughput and work ageing while reducing failure demand and operational friction
Automate repeatable work using RPA, workflow and task-automation technologies
Define the internal operations strategy and target operating model for process management and intelligent automation
Prioritise processes constraining delivery throughput, colleague productivity, service quality or control effectiveness
Create sequenced improvement roadmaps, investment cases and quarterly outcomes
Establish definitions and instrumentation for lead time, cycle time, throughput, WIP, queue time, ageing and rework
Create executive and operational views exposing bottlenecks, trends, service-level risks and improvement opportunities
Lead value-stream and process diagnostics to remove delays, unnecessary approvals, duplication and hand-offs
Turn operational insight into owned corrective actions and measurable benefits through governance routines
Build and govern an automation opportunity funnel based on value, feasibility, risk, stability and total cost of ownership
Oversee automation adoption, controls, exception handling, monitoring and ongoing support
Track benefits after implementation and retire automations that no longer provide sufficient value or assurance
Own portfolio, finances, suppliers and talent while partnering with Risk, Compliance, Cyber Security, Architecture and Finance
Measure success through cycle-time reduction, improved throughput, fewer manual touchpoints, realised capacity, control effectiveness and adoption
Report to the Chief Information Officer: Digital & AI

Requirements

Senior experience in operations, process transformation or intelligent automation
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, process mining, workflow or RPA
