Job summary

SavvySaver is hiring an Operations Engineer in Johannesburg to design, build and maintain the technical backbone of a fast-growing fintech. You will own monitoring, data pipelines, and automation across campaigns, rewards and international expansion.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and leadership, shaping systems that deliver real business impact. A growth path toward Technical Operations Manager awaits in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree required.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort with data.
• Based in Johannesburg, SA, and eligible to work locally.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain monitoring infrastructure across systems and dashboards.
• Design alerting and health-check systems to identify issues early.
• Build Power BI reporting infrastructure for real-time visibility.
• Engineer data pipelines transforming raw data into insights.
• Design data structures and validation for data quality and reliability.
• Create automated weekly/monthly reporting pipelines.
• Support data infrastructure across campaigns, rewards and receipts.
• Architect automation with Zapier, Make, Apps Script, and related tools.
