Job summary

Advania UK is seeking a Technical Lead to own and evolve the Managed Device service in Cape Town. You will drive technical delivery, mentor teams, and act as the senior escalation point for Windows, macOS, Intune, and identity management, translating client requirements into a practical roadmap.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows endpoint management.
• Experience managing macOS devices, Apple Business Manager and enrolment.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, CA, security baselines and Windows LAPS.
• Experience packaging and deploying applications, Win32 apps and catalogs.
• Ability to diagnose complex endpoint and identity issues and escalate to resolution.
• Experience leading client discussions, service reviews and improvement planning.
• Proficient in PowerShell, automation and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership for the Managed Device service, maintaining standards and service health.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex Windows/macOS and device management issues.
• Lead technical client discussions and translate priorities into improvement plans.
• Maintain enrolment, configuration, compliance, encryption and OS lifecycle management.
• Govern app onboarding, packaging, testing, deployment and retirement, incl. Enterprise App Catalog.
• Oversee endpoint baselines, policy compliance and remediation of configuration risks.
• Drive service evolution through standardization, automation and proactive remediation.
• Reduce manual activity via PowerShell automation and better operational reporting.
