Job description

RelyComply is a unified anti-financial crime platform that helps regulated businesses prevent financial crime without slowing down growth.

We bring KYC, KYB, AML screening, transaction monitoring, risk scoring, fraud detection and case management into one flexible platform. By replacing fragmented, manual processes with intelligent, real-time automation, we help banks, fintechs and insurers reduce operational friction, improve visibility and respond confidently to regulatory change.

Our aim is straightforward: make financial crime compliance faster to implement, easier to operate and dependable at scale. We want compliance to enable trusted growth, not become another box-ticking exercise.

We are a growing, ambitious team that values integrity, dependability, ownership, open communication, empathy and practical problem-solving. We move quickly, learn from what happens and expect people to take responsibility for the outcome, not just the task.

Role Overview

We have a strong, highly capable engineering team and a robust product roadmap.

We are looking to build more operational discipline around our engineering work: the structure that turns an agreed priority into something properly broken down, sensibly sequenced, honestly committed to and shipped on time.

In your role as Technical Delivery Manager, you will sit between Product and Engineering and take responsibility for how work moves between them. You will turn agreed requirements, designs and user stories into buildable technical tickets. You will run the delivery cadence, protect engineering capacity from unplanned work and give the business commitments it can rely on.

This is not a project-administration role, and it is not about running ceremonies for their own sake. Product will continue to decide what we build and why. Engineering will continue to decide how it is built and to what technical standard. Your job is to make sure the agreed work actually gets built, in the right order, in shippable pieces and by the deadline agreed.

You will sometimes need to hold an unpopular line. You will say no to mid-cycle requests. You will challenge vague scope. You will push for an MVP to ship rather than allowing work to sit in development while it is polished. When a date is at risk, you will lead a conversation about reducing scope rather than automatically moving the deadline.

Done well, engineers get clearer work and protection from noise. The business gets commitments it can trust. A capable technical team becomes a dependable delivery engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate product requirements, designs, and user stories into clear, actionable, and estimated technical tickets ready for engineering.
  • Run the full delivery cadence, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and release cycles to maintain a consistent and predictable rhythm.
  • Set realistic delivery commitments based on team capacity and protect engineering focus from unplanned or ad-hoc work.
  • Drive work to a defined MVP and ensure timely shipping, prioritizing iteration over perfection.
  • Establish and maintain lightweight, effective delivery processes and SOPs that stick and evolve with the team.
  • Provide clear, current visibility to stakeholders on delivery status, progress, and upcoming releases.
  • Act as the interface and bridge between Product, Engineering, and UX to ensure seamless handoffs and refined backlogs.
  • Hold the line against scope creep and uphold delivery discipline, escalating only when necessary to protect commitments.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years managing software delivery in a product engineering environment, ideally within B2B SaaS or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrable experience introducing and sustaining delivery process and cadence in teams previously lacking structure.
  • Strong technical fluency—able to decompose features, challenge estimates, and engage credibly with engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with modern delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, applied pragmatically.
  • Track record of consistently shipping committed work, managing competing priorities, and providing delivery visibility to stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, FinTech, or RegTech, ideally in high-growth or compliance-driven environments.
  • Background in software engineering, technical QA, or similar hands-on technical roles.
  • Agile, Scrum, PMP, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience in a scale-up or startup moving from informal to structured delivery processes.
What Success Looks Like
  • A reliable, predictable delivery cadence where 80%+ of committed work ships within agreed windows.
  • Material reduction in cycle time from idea to shipped feature, with clear, actionable backlogs and minimal mid-cycle changes.
  • Lightweight, scalable processes and standards adopted as normal practice across the team, independent of individual enforcement.
  • High stakeholder trust in roadmap commitments—Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success can plan around dependable release dates.

Successful Candidates

Enter section content hereWe are relaxed and human. We trust one another, enjoy working together and do not confuse professionalism with hierarchy.

We do not add process simply because it is considered best practice somewhere else. When we introduce structure, it must solve a real problem and earn its place.

Feedback happens directly, early and often between team members. When it does not, we see that as a working problem to solve, not a reason to add another ritual.

Decisions are made as close to the work as possible. Most decisions are reversible. When you are roughly 70% confident about one of those decisions, we expect you to decide and inform rather than seek permission. We elevate the smaller number of decisions that would be genuinely difficult to undo.

You will probably enjoy working here if you:

  • Want real responsibility and the freedom to make decisions.
  • Speak up when you see a gap and address issues before they grow.
  • Deliver what you commit to without needing someone to check on you.
  • Care more about solving the underlying problem than completing the task exactly as it was first described.
  • Move quickly, ship, learn and improve.
  • Are comfortable being judged on outcomes rather than activity.

You will probably struggle here if you:

  • Need extensive consensus or approval before acting.
  • Prefer someone else to set and manage all your priorities.
  • Want a traditional corporate environment with formal hierarchy and tightly defined lanes.
  • Need regular validation or oversight to remain motivated.
  • Avoid difficult conversations in the hope that the problem will resolve itself.
  • Would rather perfect something in isolation than ship it, learn from it and iterate....
