Job summary

Ninety One seeks an experienced delivery analyst in Cape Town to embed within the business, own design and delivery from concept to implementation, and advance AI‑driven tooling. You will partner with stakeholders, drive data‑aware solutions and ensure production readiness while embracing modern technologies.

You will work across product domains, collaborate with architects and vendors, and lead with rigorous analysis and end‑to‑end accountability for outcomes.

Responsibilities

About the team:

Our team’s chief mandate is to provide technical solutions for the operations teams at Ninety One. Each member of our team is involved in partnering with stakeholders and other teams, designing, implementing, and supporting these solutions.

We are looking for an experienced, technically-fluent delivery analyst who can embed within a part of the business, rapidly understand its problems and opportunities, and then personally own the design and delivery of the solution from design to implementation and support — using modern technology, and increasingly AI, as the primary lever.

This role requires someone who can analyse a problem with rigour, define what "good" looks like, and then take on the roles required to ensure it is delivered. Taking on full accountability for the outcome. You'll play a direct role in the organisation's journey to transform how we work with AI - building the tooling and automation that helps our team lead by example.

In this role you will:

• Develop an understanding of product domain areas in which you are involved, building a working understanding of its processes, pain points, data, opportunities and stakeholders
• Engage with Product Owners and other stakeholders to refine product backlogs and be intimately involved in the quarterly program increment and sprint planning
• Support the Operations Technology delivery manager with end-to-end delivery of certain product domains including managing backlogs and running stand‑up meetings
• Work with external vendors and third parties to deliver solutions
• Provide hands‑on approach within the delivery framework, including analysis, technical design, testing and production readiness
• Engage with members of the Ninety One Architecture Forum to ensure solutions conform to agreed standards and principles
• You will drive an AI centric solution agenda within products and;
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI and LLM-based tooling, to accelerate delivery and amplify value
• Ensure solutions align with the Ninety One data strategy: Implement data quality, governance, and observability capabilities to ensure trust in our data products.
• Challenge the status quo and existing ways of working where there’s a better way
• Communicate and influence: Translate between technical and non-technical audiences fluently; build genuine trust with stakeholders at all levels.

You should consider applying if you have:

• Strong Python and SQL skills; C# experience advantageous
• Experience with Azure, GitHub and CI/CD pipeline configuration
• A track record of owning and delivering complex change
• Demonstrated experience working across the full software/solution development lifecycle
• Genuine fluency with AI tools and their practical capabilities
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GPT Codex
• Experience leading or coordinating delivery teams
• Background or formal training in data science or a related quantitative discipline.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks preferred
