Responsibilities include maintaining sourcing strategies, conducting technical assessments, and driving cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards and ethical purchasing practices.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for new and alternative parts based on technical specifications and engineering requirements
• Evaluate supplier capability, quality certifications, cost competitiveness, and lead times
• Maintain category-based sourcing strategy for technical commodities
• Collaborate with Engineering to understand drawings, specs, and product functionality
• Conduct technical assessments to verify compliance with standards
• Support procurement with complex technical purchases and provide insights
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing and vendor innovation
• Provide RTD forms for the procurement department
• Conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Act as liaison between Engineering and Procurement to resolve discrepancies
• Assist in supplier audits and qualification processes
• Stay updated on product developments, technical trends and market availability
• Prepare technical documentation and sourcing reports to support decisions
• Adhere to the Code of Ethics with all purchases

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source and evaluate suppliers for new and alternative parts based on technical specifications and engineering requirements
• Evaluations should be based on capability, quality certifications, cost competitiveness, lead time adherence etc
• Maintain a category-based sourcing strategy for all technical commodities in your scope of work
• Collaborate with the Engineering Departments to understand technical drawings, material specifications, and product functionality to ensure accurate procurement
• Conduct technical assessments of supplier offerings to verify compliance with company standards
• Support the Procurement Team with complex technical purchases by providing detailed insights and verifications
• Initiate and complete all RTD forms for the Procurement Department
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing and vendor innovation
• Establish and conform to Company and Supplier requirements according to ISO9001:2015 (current or latest certification standard)
• Serve as the liaison between the Engineering and Procurement Divisions to resolve discrepancies or clarify product specifications
• Assist in Supplier Audits and qualification processes from a technical standpoint
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product developments, technical trends, and markets availability of parts and components
• Prepare technical documentations and sourcing reports to support Procurement decisions
• Always adhere to the Code of Ethics with all purchases
