Job summary

OurClient in Johannesburg, South Africa seeks a Technical Business Analyst to own business analysis, data management, and the configuration of automation tools. The role is pivotal in driving digital transformation and realising analytics-driven decision making.

You will map processes, design future-state workflows, write SQL, and build dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Strong process mapping and requirements gathering skills, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities based on impact, frequency, and automation potential, and embed change sustainably.
• Confident SQL query writing and the ability to use data to generate meaningful insight.
• Technical configuration and optimisation with a track record of automation and evaluation of tools against business needs.
• Solid ability to work with structured data and generate insight; experience with BI tools is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis: map current-state processes, identify manual workflows, and design future-state improvements.
• Technical Configuration & Optimisation: configure low-code/no-code tools to automate workflows and drive adoption.

Requirements

3. Technical configuration and optimisation. Comfortable configuring digital tools in an operational context, with a track record of automation and the ability to evaluate tools critically against a business need.

4. Data thinking. Solid ability to work with structured data and generate insight. Experience with BI tools or dashboard platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is a strong advantage. A genuine propensity to grow into a more data-oriented role over time.

5. Stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders and balance competing priorities without losing trust on either side.
