Job summary

Wheco Group is seeking an Assistant Technician to join our Security and Investigations team. You will install CCTV, alarm, access control and intercom systems while delivering high-quality security installations and maintenance.

You will troubleshoot faults, upgrade systems, ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards, and collaborate with security managers and IT teams. Ideal candidates are technically minded, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Wireman.
• Valid PSIRA Grade C registration.

Responsibilities

• Install CCTV, alarm, access control, and intercom systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and technical faults.
• Upgrade existing security systems to improve performance.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical and safety standards.
