Job summary

Korn Ferry seeks an experienced Lead Technical Architect to own the Temenos Transact technical architecture for a major core banking implementation in Johannesburg. You will ensure the Transact solution aligns with functional requirements, scope and non-functional requirements while guiding multiple teams through design and delivery.

The role requires technical leadership, hands-on architecture definition, and a proven track record with Temenos Transact/T24.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 Temenos Transact/T24 implementations in Lead Technical Architect or Solution Architect capacity — mandatory.
• Strong experience establishing and leading the overall technical architecture for Temenos Transact implementations.
• Deep understanding of Transact/T24 architecture and the wider technical ecosystem.

• Translate functional requirements and project scope into robust technical solutions.
• Define architecture covering performance, scalability, high availability and disaster recovery.

• Produce and maintain Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and other technical architecture documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and direction across development, configuration, integration and migration teams.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Architect (LTA) to support a major Temenos Transact core banking implementation.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the overall technical architecture, ensuring the Transact solution is designed and delivered in line with functional requirements, project scope and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead the end-to-end technical architecture for the Temenos Transact implementation.
• Translate functional requirements and project scope into robust technical solutions.
• Define architecture covering performance, scalability, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Establish the approach for environment management, deployment and release management.
• Design and oversee Transact integration architecture, including APIs, interfaces and integration with surrounding systems.
• Produce and maintain Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and other technical architecture documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and direction across development, configuration, integration and migration teams.

• Strong knowledge of performance, high availability, disaster recovery, environment management and release management.
• Experience designing Transact integrations, APIs and interfaces.
• Proven experience producing and owning Solution Design Documents and architecture documentation.
• Experience leading technical teams throughout complex implementation programmes.
