Placements24 is seeking a modern and adaptable IT & Technology Teacher to join our client in Upington. You will educate students on information technology, digital literacy, and computer science, inspiring them to develop essential digital skills for the 21st century.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with a recognized teaching qualification, plus experience teaching IT at secondary level.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Information Technology or computer-related subjects at the secondary school level.
• Proficiency in a range of software applications, operating systems, and basic programming concepts.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts in an understandable manner.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Information Technology and related subjects to students across various grade levels.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans covering computer literacy, software applications, basic coding, and cybersecurity awareness.
• Manage and maintain classroom technology resources, ensuring they are functional and accessible.
• Assess student performance through projects, assignments, and tests, providing constructive feedback.
• Promote responsible and ethical use of technology among students.
