Placements24 is seeking a passionate Computer Science Teacher in Benoni to ignite interest in technology and coding among high school students. You will teach fundamentals of computer science, programming, and digital literacy, guiding problem-solving and critical thinking for futures in the technology sector.

The role involves delivering engaging lessons, supervising labs, assessing student work, and promoting participation in coding competitions and STEM activities in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with a teaching qualification (PGCE).
• Proven experience teaching computer science or programming at high school level.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Teach computer science concepts including programming, algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking.
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans using various teaching methodologies and technologies.
• Supervise students during practical computer lab sessions with safe use of equipment.
• Assess student learning through assignments, projects, tests, and practical examinations.
