Job summary

TYCHOFLASH PTY (LTD) is seeking a Mining Supervisor to lead underground crews and achieve daily production targets at our Rustenburg operation.

You will conduct pre-shift safety meetings, allocate tasks, monitor attendance and productivity, and ensure compliance with safety procedures, records and equipment maintenance. Preference for candidates with underground experience and relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
• Valid Competent A Certificate
• Valid Team Leader-related qualification or competency
• Relevant underground mining experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead mining crews to achieve daily production targets
• Conduct pre-shift safety meetings, inspections and risk assessments
• Allocate tasks and resources to team members according to operational requirements
• Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping and productivity
• Ensure proper completion and utilisation of gang cards, checklists and operational records
• Monitor the quality of work and ensure production targets are achieved
• Ensure tools, equipment and PPE are properly utilised and maintained
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members to improve performance and safe working practices

  targets are achieved.
• Ensure tools, equipment and PPE are properly utilised
  and maintained.
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members to
  improve performance and safe working practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
• Valid Competent A Certificate.
• Valid Team Leader-related qualification or
  competency, where applicable to the mining
  operation.
• Relevant underground mining experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years' supervisory/team leader
  experience in a mining environment.
• Experience in Secondary support will be
  advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of mining safety procedures,
  risk assessments and workplace inspections.
• Good understanding of production and labour
  management.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous
