Discovery Health is seeking a Clinical Team Leader to manage a dedicated team within Discovery Care. You will oversee performance, mentor staff, and ensure service levels and quality targets are met across chronic and PMB management workflows.

Strong leadership, DH product knowledge and policy understanding are essential. The role requires SAPC registration, a BPharm, matric and at least 1 year of CIB Pharmacist or Pharmacist Assistant experience.

Qualificações

• Matric, BPharm and SAPC registration required.
• 1+ year experience as a CIB Pharmacist or Pharmacist Assistant.
• Knowledge of Discovery Health (DH) products, benefits, funding and policy rules.
• In-depth knowledge of CIB products, benefits and processes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the Clinical Team to meet SLAs and quality targets.
• Coach and develop team members to achieve performance and service delivery goals.
• Oversee staff performance management and identify high-potential talent.
• Maintain service levels and handle administrative duties.
• Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions based on trends.
• Perform quality assessments and resolve escalated queries.
• Build internal and external relationships to achieve objectives.
• Multitask and meet daily deadlines; drive team results.

About Discovery Care

Discovery Care, a subsidiary of Discovery Health, comprises of several specialized clinical areas with segmented teams. The Chronic and PMB Management team handles the processing of Chronic and Prescribed Minimum Benefit requests and manages escalated clinical queries. The HIV/Oncology and In-Hospital Case Management teams review clinical cases specific to their areas of expertise. The High Touch team provides hands-on services and resolves escalated queries for sensitive cases. Additionally, the Hospital Benefit Specialists, as part of field force, are responsible for real-time risk management and the Care Coordination Services manages the Managed Care programs.

Key Purpose

To effectively manage a team to ensure adherence to agreed SLA's, meeting departmental TWT and Quality requirements. This extends to the following: Team Management iQS Requirements, Project Management, reporting and process improvements, as well as Mentoring and Coaching.

Education and Experience:

The following requirements are essential:

• Matric
• BPharm
• Registered with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CIB Pharmacist or Pharmacist Assistant
• Knowledge of DH product and benefits
• Knowledge of DH funding and policy rules
• In depth knowledge of CIB products, benefits and processes
