About the Role
We're looking for a Talent Coordinator to join Octoco and work alongside our Head of Talent Management. Talent Management at Octoco covers a lot of ground, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance reviews, career development, recognition, and the everyday HR admin that keeps a growing tech consultancy running smoothly.
This role is a great fit for someone who is genuinely interested in people, enjoys the variety of HR work, and wants to be part of building a workplace where engineers can do their best work. You'll start by supporting the Head of Talent Management across a range of activities and gradually take more ownership as you find your feet.
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinating recruitment activities, including tracking candidates, reviewing CVs alongside the Head of Talent Management, and scheduling interviews.
- Keeping candidate communication on track so people know where they stand at each stage.
- Coordinating onboarding for new hires, from confirming start dates and sending contracts to collecting documentation and setting up the right meetings.
- Maintaining accurate recruitment and onboarding records.
- Preparing for performance review cycles by consolidating feedback and relevant information from managers and team members.
- Helping run recognition initiatives and events.
- Researching and proposing ideas for new recognition or culture initiatives.
- Assisting with remuneration review preparation, including consolidating performance data and helping with the admin that follows (salary letters, payroll updates, communication of rate changes).
HR Admin, Events & Process
- Supporting day-to-day HR admin, including leave tracking, salary documentation, and time-logging checks.
- Helping organise internal team events and keeping the company event calendar up to date.
- Looking out for ways HR and talent processes could work better, and helping implement changes once they're agreed.
- Keeping HR records accurate and admin tasks moving along on time.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- Some experience in HR, talent, or people operations is a plus, though we're also open to recent graduates who can show a genuine interest in the field.
- Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail. A lot of this role is keeping multiple things moving at once.
- Comfortable communicating with people across the business, from new hires to senior leadership.
- Discretion and good judgement when handling confidential information.
- An interest in tech and engineering environments, even if you don't come from one yourself.
- Familiarity with HR tools or willingness to learn them quickly.
- A proactive nature and a willingness to take ownership of the things you commit to.
- As the role includes event planning and employee wellness, you must have a valid driver's license to help run errands.
What You'll Get From Us
- Career Growth: Room to grow into broader talent management and people leadership roles.
- Flexibility: A hybrid working model built on trust and self-management.
- People-First Culture: A supportive, inclusive team where you'll feel like you matter.
- Interesting Work: Exposure to the full talent lifecycle in a fast-moving tech consultancy.
- Strong Support: Regular one-on-ones and structured quarterly reviews.
- Rapid Learning: Hands-on experience across recruitment, performance, career development, recognition, and HR operations.
