The role encompasses strategic planning, team leadership, and fostering a candidate-centric approach to recruitment that aligns with MRI’s values and goals. While the focus is on leading and enabling the team, the role also requires a hands-on approach to recruitment when needed, especially for high-priority roles or urgent hiring needs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regional Talent Acquisition Strategy: Execute a regional talent acquisition strategy that addresses immediate hiring needs and supports long-term talent pipeline development. Collaborate with the Global Head of TA and other regional TA Mangers to ensure alignment with global talent acquisition strategies while tailoring approaches to regional nuances. Implement innovative sourcing strategies, recruitment processes, and tools to attract diverse and high-caliber talent within the region. Provide insights into regional talent market dynamics, competitive practices, and industry benchmarks to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Elevating Recruitment Practices: Lead the evolution of recruitment processes to accommodate regional scalability and growth while maintaining alignment with global standards. Identify and integrate advanced tools and methodologies to enhance recruitment efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the use of Workday as our ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and other solutions that streamline processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage the regional recruitment team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members, promoting continuous learning and skill development. Establish performance expectations and track progress through defined metrics and KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with regional business leaders, hiring managers, and the broader talent team to align recruitment strategies with regional business goals. Act as a partner to regional leadership, offering insights on regional talent trends, market dynamics, and recruitment best practices. Communicate regularly with regional leadership on recruitment progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives: Integrate DEI principles into the regional recruitment process to ensure fairness and inclusivity throughout the candidate journey. Implement strategies to attract diverse candidates and promote an inclusive workforce that embraces a range of perspectives. Collaborate with the Global TA Lead and DEI teams to amplify DEI initiatives within the regional recruitment efforts.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track and analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline health) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Prepare regular reports and dashboards for leadership using Excel and other analytics tools. Use data insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize recruitment processes.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards of data hygiene in Workday and other recruitment systems. Implement and refine recruitment processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and candidate experience. Ensure compliance with Philippine employment regulations and internal policies.
EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of regional talent markets, industry trends, and recruitment best practices.
  • Familiarity with recruitment compliance requirements across South Africa, the UAE, and the UK.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization) preferred.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage performance, and drive results.
  • A passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience implementing DEI strategies in recruitment.
