Job summary

Fidelity Specialized Services (FSS) invites applications for a Tactical Drone Driver on a Transnet contract. The role covers driving of the Tactical K9 vehicle, maintaining security and radio contact with the control room and drone pilot, and executing security drills to deter suspicious activity.

Applicants must have Matric, a Code C1 license (2+ years), PSIRA Grade A armed response, SAPS handgun competency, and preferably an Advance Driving Course.

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate or equivalent is required.
• Code C1 Driver's license older than 2 years is required.
• PSIRA Grade A Armed Response is required.
• SAPS Weapons Competency in handgun is required.
• Advance Driving Course preferred.
• Be prepared to work 12-hour shifts.
• Minimum two years' experience in security or similar role.
• No criminal records.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility and accountability for the vehicle, including reporting mechanical faults and refueling.
• Drive the Tactical K9 vehicle.
• Accident prevention and reporting.
• Maintain radio contact with the Control Room / Drone Pilot / K9 Handler.
• Carry out security drills and maintain security awareness.
• Take preventive actions towards suspicious activity.
