Wabtec Corporation in Pretoria seeks a Systems Test Engineer to drive system‑level and automated testing across cloud, firmware, hardware and software. You will build and maintain automation frameworks, contribute Python code, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include planning and executing tests, extending test libraries, and helping improve testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, IT, CS or related field; non‑graduates with proven testing track record considered.
• Proven experience in system testing and automation development with hands‑on coding.
• Experience in multiple programming languages and embedded platforms.
• Strong experience as a systems/integration tester and with Python automation.
• Hands‑on with test automation tools such as Squish or similar.
• Knowledge of RF, digital electronics and networking protocols.

Responsabilités

• Plan, design, execute and maintain system‑level and automated tests within an Agile Scrum team.
• Develop, extend and maintain automation frameworks and libraries.
• Contribute software development capabilities (Python) to test systems and tooling.
• Identify priority issues, perform root cause analysis and drive solutions.
• Liaise with other engineering teams and participate in integration activities.
