Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Seasoned experience in IT roles with focus on system design/architecture engineering.
• Proven working experience in a large-scale organisation.
• Experience with software development lifecycles.
• Understanding of cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency in designing scalable, distributed, high-performance systems.
• Knowledge of software design/architecture and handling large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Review detailed application, software, and system components across technology stacks.
• Ensure architectural solutions meet technical and functional requirements.
• Review existing system architecture and recommend improvements.
• Participate in engineering reviews to resolve ambiguities.
• Scope change requests and estimate effort and timelines.
• Determine system loads and volumes for infrastructure planning.
• Align architectures with company goals and strategies.
• Enable design and development of new systems and solutions.
• Ensure conformance to current architectures and strategic direction.
• Conduct architectural analysis to solve complex business/technical problems.
• Deliver robust, scalable solutions to business needs.
• Identify and mitigate risks impacting architectural delivery.
• Specify functional/technical requirements and implementation phases.
• Implement processes for integrating architectural solutions.
• Establish architectural governance and metrics.
• Use fitness functions to ensure architectural success.
• Proactively identify potential problems and remedial solutions.
• Ensure team understands architectural implications of requirements.
