Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Waste Management Coordinator to oversee waste collection and disposal operations in Bloemfontein. You will plan routes, monitor streams, and ensure compliance with local and national regulations, contributing to sustainable waste practices within the community.

The ideal candidate will understand waste management systems, have strong organizational skills, and be committed to environmental health.

Qualifications

Experience in waste management, logistics, or environmental services.
Knowledge of waste disposal regulations and best practices for recycling and resource recovery.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics.
Proficiency in using GPS tracking and route optimization software.
A degree or diploma in environmental science or a related field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement efficient waste collection schedules and routes for residential and commercial areas.
Monitor waste generation and disposal activities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Coordinate with waste disposal facilities and recycling centers to manage waste streams effectively.
Maintain records of waste quantities, types, and disposal methods for reporting purposes.
Oversee the maintenance and operation of waste management vehicles and equipment.
