Job summary

Woolworths Holdings Limited in Port Shepstone is seeking a Sustainability Procurement Analyst to embed sustainable practices across Woolworths' supply chain. You will evaluate suppliers, develop green procurement policies, and drive initiatives that balance environmental goals with cost efficiency.

This role reports to the Head of Procurement & Sustainability and offers a hybrid work setup, a strong focus on ESG standards, training, and opportunities to influence sustainable sourcing decisions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or sustainability within retail or consumer goods.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; CSPP or master’s preferred.
• Experience with international suppliers and ESG reporting familiarity is an asset.
• Strong data analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, GRI and sustainable procurement principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sustainability assessments of suppliers focusing on carbon footprint, waste and labor ethics.
• Develop and implement green procurement policies aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate with Category Management, QA and Legal to embed sustainable criteria in tenders.
• Monitor supplier performance with sustainability KPIs and report to leadership.
• Identify cost savings via circular economy initiatives and improved logistics.
• Lead training sessions on sustainable procurement practices for internal stakeholders.
• Stay updated on global standards and adapt the procurement framework accordingly.
