Job summary

Employment Solutions is seeking a seasoned supply chain leader in South Africa to drive strategic initiatives across the organization. You will lead the S&OP process, align cross-functional teams, and execute strategies to optimize inventory, procurement, and logistics in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The role requires 8–10 years of supply chain experience with at least 5 years in management, and proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Sage/Oracle/Dynamics) and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 8–10 years of supply chain experience with at least 5 years in management within FMCG.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Sage, Oracle, Dynamics) and Power BI.

Duties:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and ensure cross-functional alignment
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
• Manage demand forecasts and enhance forecast accuracy
• Coordinate procurement and replenishment plans to meet demand
• Maintain optimal stock levels and manage slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory
• Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing to optimize costs
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure supply chain continuity
• Ensure on-time, in-full deliveries to customers
• Optimize transportation costs and service levels
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities
• Ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with safety regulations
• Manage the supply chain budget and working capital
• Maintain business continuity and compliance controls
• Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field
• 8-10 years of supply chain experience
• Minimum of 5 years in management within the FMCG sector
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Sage, Oracle, Dynamics)
• Strong inventory management skills
• Experience with Power BI
